Pearre (pronounced Perry) Creek Elementary School is named for Revolutionary War veteran Joshua Pearre who moved with his family to Tennessee in the early 1800′s.

The brand new campus with state-of-the-art facilities is located within the Westhaven Community, making it a quick 5-10 minute walk, bike, car or bus ride to school.

In 1991, Hillsboro School celebrated its 100th birthday. It began as a private school in the Leiper’s Fork community and was purchased by the Williamson County Board of Education in 1905. Today, the school is located in a four-million-dollar facility built in 1981. The campus is about ten minutes from Westhaven.

Hillsboro is an arts-focused school that incorporates art, music, and drama into all academic areas. Their motto is “Scholars on a road to success.”

The mission of Independence High School is to partner with parents and guardians to cultivate achievement and integrity in a caring environment that models critical thinking, responsible citizenship, respect for individuals, and a spirit of community, enabling students to reach their highest potential.

Opened in the fall of 2004, the campus has 56 classrooms, 3 computer labs, 8 science labs, a TV production facility, band and choral rooms, art rooms, counseling center, state-of-the-art media center, full production theater with seating for 450, practice gymnasium, full-size gymnasium, outdoor football stadium, soccer, baseball, and softball fields, tennis courts, cafeteria, retail center, bank, and day care facility for Williamson County employees.
